Welcome to Underlight: Shades of Truth Hello everyone and welcome to the Underlight: Shades of Truth website. We're sure that some of you are asking yourselves, what is Underlight: Shades of Truth? And some of the former Underlight veterans from the previous Underlight server run by Lyra Studios are asking themselves, why should we play this? I'm going to answer both of these questions. Underlight is one of the most intense and in-depth roleplaying games that has ever existed on the internet. If you enjoy "hardcore roleplaying" then this is one of the best games available for you to play. There will be many changes to the in-game systems, game dynamics, arts and the physical world that will differentiate Underlight: Shades of Truth, from the previous version of Underlight run by Lyra Studios. We have made a lot of changes to systems and game dynamics that were considered problematic or "not fun" to many players. Some things will remain unchanged, but even the oldest Underlight players will find endless amounts of new content and changes to the old content, not to mention very drastic changes to the storyline. We recommend that you read this website thoroughly, especially the roleplaying guide and storyline. And something that might come as a shock to everyone... We are a group made up of independent game developers and GM staff who have two things in common: We all love roleplaying, and we all have a very strong passion for Underlight.
