Too often dreamers allowed themselves to become limited by their abilities and the sphere they earned. They let the level of ascension and ability that they possess come into being the items that define them. Instead, dreamers should seek to define their abilities and level of ascension. All seemed to forget that within the dream city they are limited only by their imagination.
Within the city, there was a distinct lack of personal accountability and conviction. Every day, the city became more corrupted by those who cared for nothing except their own perceived codes and many times these codes are formed through using information that is anything but enlightened. Though they often carried out their creed with the best of intentions, the results often reflected the poor reasoning behind them.
More then ever there are voices crying out in disbelief over the rapid manner in which many dreamers were rising to power. When these situations were investigated it is often with much sorrow discovered that those who had robbed the true power of ascension via the vulgar and tactless use of the ability to ascend greatly lack the strength of character to be a valuable addition to the collective citizenry of our city. This is not to say those rapidly ascended are in fact poor dreamers. But many times they were. Nay, this reflects a cheapening of the great potentials within the city. Perfection, whether in understanding or execution, is an ideal that can never be achieved but must always be pursued.
It would seem that many forgot the lessons of the past as they rose in power. To give needlessly is to establish corruption, debauchery, and envy.
Even knowing all of this we must remind ourselves that we cannot be afraid to let revolution occur. History as a whole and the history of revolutions in particular are always richer in content, more varied, more multiform, more lively and ingenious than is imagined by even the best parties; the most conscious vanguards of the most advanced classes.
